Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our healthcare team. As an LPN, you will work under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) or physician, assisting in providing high-quality patient care. Your responsibilities will include assessing patient health, administering medication, performing routine medical procedures, and ensuring patient comfort and safety. The ideal candidate must have excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and a genuine passion for helping others.
Responsibilities:
• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including collecting and recording patient data, vital signs, and medical histories.
• Help doctors and RNs in examinations, treatments, and various medical procedures.
• Administer medication and injections as prescribed by physicians.
• Monitor patients' conditions, track changes, and report any concerns to the supervising RN or physician.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation using electronic healthcare systems.
• Assist in the development and implementation of patient care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team.
• Provide emotional support and comfort to patients, ensuring their well-being and satisfaction.
• Educate patients and their families on appropriate healthcare practices, medications, rehabilitation plans, and self-care techniques.
• Follow infection control protocols, maintain a clean and safe environment for patients, and adhere to all healthcare regulations and policies.
• Assist in the orientation and training of new LPNs and nursing assistants.
Requirements:
• Valid Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license issued by the state licensing board.
• Graduation from an accredited LPN program.
• Strong knowledge of nursing principles, clinical practices, and medical terminology.
• Proven experience in providing nursing care and administering medications.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish rapport and maintain effective relationships with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
• Ability to work under pressure and handle challenging situations with empathy and professionalism.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time-management abilities.
• Proficient in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and other healthcare software.
• CPR certification is required.
• Availability and willingness to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
