Licensed Practical Nurse - LPN
Our client is a nonprofit organization with over 25 years of experience providing drug and alcohol rehabilitation services through their Adolescent Programs, Adult Programs, and Outpatient treatment centers in Citra, Brandon, and Tampa, FL.
The Position: We are seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse and offer the following compensation package:
- $26 An Hour
- Medical Insurance – 85% of employee benefits paid by employer

- Tuition Reimbursement – up to $4,000 per year (after 6 months of service)
Requirements:
- Wednesday to Saturday (7am-6pm) and (6pm - 5am)
- A minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar role as an LPN
- Experience treating substance abuse and/or Department of Corrections populations
- Valid Florida LPN license in the state of Florida
- Must be able to pass background and drug screen before the start date
- Valid Florida driver’s license with four or fewer points
- CPR/First Aid Certification
- Administration of medications, acquisition of vital signs and documentation of interventions. Able to communicate with interdisciplinary team about client’s care
- Familiarity with Welligent EMR system preferred but not required
Responsibilities:
- Perform medical screenings at intake.
- Implement doctors’ orders, administer specified medication, monitor, and record vital signs as needed, and maintain medical records.
- Perform patient medication data entry necessary to complete admission using the Welligent EMR system.
- Assist counselors to develop treatment plans that are coherent and reflective of patient progress and development. Involve patient appropriately in the process and document.
- Observe patients and document their responses to treatment.
- Carry out all medical procedures in compliance with program policies.
- Participate in treatment team weekly meetings regarding patient progress and treatment.
- Monitor patients in individual, group, and family formats.
- Discharge patients in accordance with established policy.
- Respond to patient crises and emergencies as needed.
- Maintain accurate and timely group, incident report and case notes.
- Participate in staff meetings and required trainings
- Provide transportation and supervised monitoring of patients as needed.
- Meet with supervisor on a regular basis.
- Dress in a professional manner.
- Conduct property searches and urine screens as needed.
- Telephone Supervisor or Director immediately to report unusual incidents.
- Demonstrate proficiency in EMR system Welligent and be sufficient to fulfill the duties required by this position within 30 days of employment
