Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) / Licensed Vocation Nurse (LVN)
Job Overview:
The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) / Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) is responsible for providing basic nursing care under the supervision of a registered nurse (RN) or physician. The LPN/LVN will work collaboratively with healthcare teams to ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care, conduct clinical assessments, and support patients in their recovery and well-being.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide patient care such as administering medications, dressing wounds, and monitoring vital signs.
- Assist with daily living activities including bathing, grooming, and feeding patients.
- Collect and document patient health information and vital signs accurately.
- Collaborate with RNs, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Educate patients and their families on health management, preventive care, and medical procedures.
- Maintain a clean and safe patient environment, adhering to infection control protocols.
- Monitor and document patient progress, reporting changes to the nursing supervisor.
- Assist in emergency response, providing first aid and CPR as necessary.
- Participate in staff meetings and continue education to enhance nursing skills.
Qualifications:
- Valid state license as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN).
- Completion of an accredited practical nursing program.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently when needed.
- Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and principles of nursing care.
- Experience in a healthcare setting.
- Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems.
- Bilingual skills are a plus.
Labor Rate: $30/hr.
