Job Overview
BrightStar Care’s Licensed Practical Nurses are responsible for providing basic medical attention to patients and assessing their wellbeing as part of a larger medical team. Their duties include checking vital signs, recording a patient's medical history and assisting patients with hygiene.
As an LPN, you are responsible for:
Implementing treatment and plan of care, using sound judgment and critical thinking
Maintaining accurate, detailed, and timely documentation consistent with the plan of care and the nursing processes
Performing all skill, treatments, and procedures to the scope of practice as defined in the Nurse Practice Act in the state of clinical practice and adhere to the policies, procedures, and protocols of the agency of employment
Requirements
Current and unrestricted LPN license in Pennsylvania
Certified CPR and negative TB skin test or chest x-ray (or be willing to get them done)
Minimum one (1) year of documented health care experience is required (unless participating in an approved Mentor Program)
Must have experience in tracheostomy and ventilator care
Licensed driver with insured and reliable automobile
Ensures confidentiality and security of the client's medical information.
Must be able to stand walk, squat, bend, kneel, reach, twist, push and pull. Varied assistance is required depending on the mobility of the client. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
