Responsible for obtaining vital signs, reviewing medications and investigating chief complaints as patients check in for appointments.
Two years’ experience as a licensed practical nurse or certified/registered medical assistant is preferred
Possesses a current license to practice as a Licensed Practical Nurse or is a certified or registered medical assistant. Thorough knowledge of practical nursing theory
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Process prescription refills as necessary
Complete lab draws as requested
Assist with triage calls as needed
Assist other LPNs/CMAs working with providers as needed
Correctly assesses patient’s vital signs, anthropometric measurements, and charts them accurately.
Accurately dispenses and charts medications ordered by physicians and nurse practitioners
Maintains confidentiality of all patient information
Monitors medical supplies and stock medications, and makes note of supplies to be ordered
Performs other duties as assigned.
