We are seeking a motivated and skilled Licensed Professional Counselor-Associate (LPC-A) to join our dynamic team and contribute to our mission.

    Job Summary:
    As a Licensed Professional Counselor-Associate, you will work under the supervision of a licensed professional counselor while providing therapeutic services to clients dealing with a range of mental health issues, but with a focus on OCD. You will conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, and facilitate individual and group therapy sessions. Your role will involve fostering a supportive environment that encourages client engagement and empowers individuals to reach their therapeutic goals. Although this is a contract position to start, after 90 day evaluation, a W2 part-time position may be offered which includes benefits if contractor meets expectations set forth by AMA.

    Key Responsibilities:

    - Conduct initial assessments and intake interviews to gather client history and needs.
    - Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with clients and under supervision.
    - Provide individual and group counseling sessions utilizing evidence-based practices and therapeutic techniques.
    - Maintain accurate records of therapy sessions, including progress notes and treatment documentation, in compliance with ethical and legal standards.
    - Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including social workers, psychiatrists, and other mental health professionals, to provide comprehensive care.
    - Stay informed of current developments in the field of mental health counseling and integrate new approaches into practice.
    - Participate in regular supervision sessions to discuss cases, receive feedback, and enhance professional development.
    - Engage in community outreach and education initiatives to promote mental health awareness and resources.
    - Ensure compliance with organizational policies, state regulations, and ethical standards.

    Qualifications:

    - Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field from an accredited institution.
    - Current licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Professional Counselor-Associate (LPC-A) in Texas.
    - Prior experience in mental health counseling or clinical settings is preferred but not required.
    - Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with diverse clients.
    - Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    - Knowledge of various therapeutic modalities and evidence-based practices.
    - Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
    - Commitment to ongoing professional development and supervision.
