Job Overview:
We are seeking a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) for a PRN position to provide counseling services to students in various school settings across Texas. The ideal candidate will have experience in school-based counseling, a passion for supporting students' mental health, and the flexibility to work on an as-needed basis.
Responsibilities:
- Provide individual and group counseling to students referred by the school for emotional, behavioral, or mental health needs.
- Develop and implement treatment plans and strategies tailored to meet the unique needs of each student.
- Collaborate with school staff, including teachers, administrators, and special education teams, to support students' overall well-being.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all services provided, including progress notes and reports.
- Participate in ARD meetings as needed to support students' IEP goals.
- Offer crisis intervention and support as required by the school district.
- Adhere to all state and federal regulations, including confidentiality and reporting requirements.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Counseling or a related field.
- Current and valid LPC license in the state of Texas.
- Experience working with children and adolescents in a school setting is preferred.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage a flexible schedule.
- Knowledge of special education processes and IEPs is a plus.
