JOB SUMMARY: We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) to join our small, restraint-free private school that serves students with social, emotional, and behavioral challenges. The ideal candidate will have experience in behavior management, mindfulness, restorative practices, and trauma-informed care, and be committed to providing individualized support to students and their families. As part of a collaborative team including a school psychologist, behavior interventionist, and school principal, the successful candidate will play a key role in fostering a supportive and positive environment for students. This position offers an opportunity to make a direct impact on the lives of students with behavioral challenges, both internal and external, through a variety of academic and support services.

Starting Salary - $65,000+ based on certification and experience

Work Location: In-person at our Media, PA location
Functions of the job include but are not limited to the following:
Provide individual and group counseling to students addressing emotional, behavioral, and social challenges
Assist in co-teaching social and emotional learning lessons with other team members
Collaborate with the school’s multidisciplinary team to create and implement behavioral intervention plans
Employ de-escalation techniques and behavioral strategies to support students in managing difficult emotions and behaviors
Connect students and their families with appropriate community resources and external support systems
Work with families to ensure continuity of care and support outside of school hours
Maintain confidential and accurate records of student progress, interventions, and outcomes
Knowledge Skills and Ability Required:
Must be a LPC or LCSW in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
Knowledge and skills in working with children with ADD and behavioral and emotional disabilities
Experience in behavior management, trauma-informed care, mindfulness techniques
Strong knowledge of restorative practices and social-emotional learning
Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with a diverse team and communicate well with students, families, and staff of diverse backgrounds
Passion for supporting children with behavioral and emotional needs in a school setting
Ability to manage challenging behaviors using de-escalation strategies
Ability to deliver and articulate oral presentations and written reports
Ability to effectively analyze needs and problems objectively
Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with children, students, parents, staff, administration and the general public
Proven ability to report to work on a regular and punctual basis
Physical Requirements
Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, talk, hear, operate a computer and other office equipment, reach with hands and arms, and must occasionally lift, move and/or support up to 50 pounds (and/or up to adult size body weight with two-to-three person lift). Position can require some degree of physical interaction with students who have difficulty controlling physical behavior.
