East Valley CHARLEE (EVC) is a 12-bed, Short Term Residential Therapeutic Program (STRTP), committed to evaluating and addressing boys unique behavioral health needs. EVC has been in business since 1982. We serve young men ages 8-17. We are seeking a licensed therapist (Head of Service (HOS)) to join our clinical team who has high ethical standards and a desire to positively impact the lives of youth and families involved with Child Welfare Services. The HOS provides Specialty Mental Health Services (SMHS) including an array of therapeutic approaches to help youth and families develop insight into maladaptive behaviors impairing functioning. The HOS also educates and coaches youth and families on using healthy social / emotional skills to cope more effectively with life stressors in efforts to help the youth successfully transition to a lower level of care. The HOS works closely with the Mental Health Rehabilitation Specialist (MHRS), DCS residential staff, social workers, licensing, and other significant support people in each youths life to provide appropriate mental health treatment and coordination of care.
REQUIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Looking for an individual that has past history working in group home setting, loves changing the lives of children to overcome their trauma.
Seeking a person with strong leadership and management skills to oversee the clinical operation and clinical team. Poses excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work with outside contractors and licensing. Must have strong writing skills, self motivated, and self starter.
Must possess an active license with the state of California Board of Behavioral Health Sciences (BBS)
EDUCATION/ EXPERIENCE:
A qualified candidate must possess an active license with the state of California Board of Behavioral Health Sciences (BBS) one (1) or more of the following:
Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) AND at least two (2) years of experience working in a residential treatment facility or outpatient mental health program, preferably with children and adolescents.
OR
Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) AND at least two (2) years of experience working in a residential treatment facility or outpatient mental health program, preferably with children and adolescents.
OR
Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) AND at least two (2) years of experience working in a residential treatment facility or outpatient mental health program, preferably with children and adolescents.
