We are currently seeking a fully licensed LCSW or LCMHC (possessing a North Carolina license) to join our dynamic interdisciplinary practice located in the picturesque coastal region of Wilmington, North Carolina. Our team, which comprises mental health therapists, registered dietitians, a psychiatric nurse practitioner, and devoted administrative staff, is wholeheartedly devoted to aiding clients in their journey to recovery. While our outpatient services cater to individuals of all ages and various diagnoses, we take pride in our accreditation by The Joint Commission and our state licensure to offer day treatment for adults with eating disorders. Work Environment: In this position, you will have an office furnished with a desk, desk chair, computer, therapy chair, and seating for clients. The work setting is typically calm. Occasionally, standing, walking, using hands, and reaching are necessary. The employee may be required to occasionally lift or move up to 10 pounds. Our operational hours are Monday – Thursday from 8:00 am to 7:00 pm and Fridays from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm. Responsibilities: • Provide therapy to individuals, groups, and families following Chrysalis Center's client care standards. • Conduct thorough assessments of new clients using the center's intake protocol and develop comprehensive treatment plans. • Update treatment plans for active clients, providing discharge information as needed. • Use Blueprint for outcome measures and treatment planning. • Collaborate on treatment plans for IOP clients when necessary. • Document client information in accordance with regulatory requirements. • Establish and maintain therapeutic relationships with clients. • Demonstrate clinical performance through occupancy data and intake retention. • Possesses skills to de-escalate distressed clients and provide appropriate care or crisis intervention referrals. • Participate in interdisciplinary treatment planning and team consultations. • Attend scheduled case and supervision meetings. • Submit schedules, time sheets, and case management documentation. • Handle crisis situations effectively and safely, including implementing behavioral contingencies for IOP staff. • Lead therapy groups following approved curriculums and adjusting content as needed. • Uphold confidentiality, HIPAA standards, and client rights. • Support and embody Chrysalis Center's mission, vision, and values. • Perform any other requested duties. Qualifications: • To be considered for the position of Licensed Therapist in Wilmington, NC, US, applicants must hold a Master’s degree or higher. • Preferably, candidates should have at least two years of post-licensure experience. • Special consideration will be given to those with training in treating adolescents, trauma, and/or eating disorders. • An essential requirement is possessing a state license or registration as a qualified mental health professional. • Candidates are expected to provide proof of authorization to work in the U.S. through I-9 verification. • Successful applicants will undergo a Criminal Background Check and NC Healthcare Personnel Registry check as per Mental Health Licensure rules by NC State DHSR. • Core competencies necessary for the role include efficient time management, strong communication skills, ethical conduct, teamwork orientation, problem-solving abilities, thoroughness, and proficiency in DSM-V diagnostic skills. Compensation: $50,000 - $65,000 yearly
