    State Street Animal Hospital, PC is seeking self-motivated, Licensed Veterinary Technicians (LVT) with a growth mindset to join our team!

    State Street Animal Hospital, PC offers comprehensive medical and surgical services primarily for dogs and cats. Located right off the NYS Thruway in Batavia, NY, State Street is an easy drive from both Buffalo and Rochester! Our skilled team consists of Doctors of Veterinary Medicine (DVMs), Licensed Veterinary Technicians (LVTs), and support staff that provide the best care for the animals that we see. As an independently owned business, we take the time to build trusting, long lasting relationships with our clients and patients. In addition, we are a Fear Free Certified Facility.

    Job Description:

    As an LVT at State Street, you are an essential team member providing high quality care to pet parents and their animals. You will utilize your technical training, communication, and interpersonal skills to work with clients, patients, and staff in a professional, positive manner. Under the directive of the doctors’ LVTs perform many important tasks during appointments and surgery.

    Tasks may include:

    Dentistry with digital radiology

    Digital Radiology

    Venipuncture

    Following Laboratory Protocols for inhouse and external testing

    Nail care and sanitary care maintenance

    Vaccination boosters and protocol

    Providing care and medical treatment for hospitalized patients

    Supporting with surgery and anesthesia

    Housekeeping tasks such as maintaining a clean work environment, equipment care, and inventory monitoring.

    Additional skills:

    Maintaining a growth mindset

    Self-Starter with the ability to plan, prioritize, and execute tasks

    Time management

    Organization skills

    Excellent verbal and written communication skills

    The ability to build positive interpersonal relationships

    Flexibility to adapt with day to day changes and high-pressure situations

    Proficiency with computers- experience with AVImark is a plus

    License

    NYS Veterinary Technician License (required)
