Job Summary
We are seeking a Licensed Vocational Nurse to join our team. In this role, you will primarily be creating and managing a plan of care for Pediatric patient. During school hours, the student will receive continuous nursing support to address any medical needs, health monitoring, and assistance with daily activities as required. The nurse will be present to ensure the student's health and safety, administer necessary medications, monitor vital signs, and provide care in case of any medical emergencies. The nurse will remain with the student throughout the day, offering support during classroom activities, lunch, and recess. Communication with parents and teachers will be maintained to ensure a cohesive care plan that aligns with the student's academic schedule and medical needs.
This is a temporary position in Forth Worth, TX from March to April.
Responsibilities
Coordinate with other colleagues to assess, plan, implement, or evaluate patient care plans
Administer medications and monitor patients for side effects or reactions
Document any changes in patient conditions and report on changes
Maintain accurate records of patient care and discuss observations with the supervisor
Monitor and record patient vital signs, symptoms, and behaviors.
Assist with patient mobility, hygiene, and comfort.
Educate patients and families on health maintenance and disease prevention.
Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement care plans.
Assist with medical procedures and provide post-procedure care
Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in accordance with facility standards.
Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and standards of care is provided
Attend school with the patient during school hours
Qualifications
Currently licensed Licensed Vocational Nurse LVN in state of Texas or compass state
Previous experience as a or Licensed Vocational Nurse is preferred
Excellent interpersonal and client care skills
Valid driver’s license
First aid CPR certification required
Compassionate, patient-focused approach to care
1 year Experience in long-term care, acute care, rehabilitation or Home Health for Pediatrics preferred
