East Valley CHARLEE, a licensed and CARF accredited short term residential treatment program STRTP in Redlands-Yucaipa area is seeking a licensed therapist for boys aged aged 8 to 17 years, who have been removed from their homes for reasons of abuse, neglect and/or abandonment.
Qualifications: Licensed with BBS (LCSW, LMFT, LPCC, AMFT, ASCW); three plus years experience in a group home setting treating traumatized youth. Familiarity with trauma-informed care and strengths-based treatment planning. Trained in using CANS Assessment, as well as Core Practice Model. Knowledge of DBH, DCFS, and probation dept. protocols a plus. Able to pass criminal background check. CPR/First Aid certified. Clean DMV and CA driver's license.
Duties and responsibilities - Individual, group, and family therapy; individual service plans; maintain case files and timely documentation; attend and/or facilitate in-service training for staff. Effectively communicate with families, placing agencies, and other agency staff. Participate in admission and termination recommendations. Maintain positive relationships with treatment team members, agency staff and other stakeholders involved in client's treatment. Participate in utilization review; quality assurance processes; case conferences and consultation meetings. Adhere to Title IX, HIPAA, and all federal regulations regarding client privacy and confidentiality. Recognize and address client emergencies/crises as they arise. All other tasks as assigned
Skills and abilities - Excellent communication (verbal and written); working knowledge of computers (MS Office); pleasant mannerism; knowledge of KIPU. Familiar with CANS Assessment, as well as Core Practice Model. Able to work independently and as part of a team.
