    We are looking for part-time Life Skills Coach support staff to support individuals in Roseville and Fair Oaks. This position is about 16 hours per week with opportunity to pick up additional hours on call.

    Fair Oaks - Saturdays 1 pm to 9 pm

    Roseville - Mondays 1 pm to 8 pm

    • We are currently looking for temporary SLS support for the following Fair Oaks shifts from March 1, 2025 through May 25, 2025 (both Fair Oaks position may have opportunity for temp to hire for same or different hours/location, however are temp at this time).

    JOB DESCRIPTION

    Supportive Living Services (SLS) is a program designed to provide in-home and community-based assistance to adults with developmental disabilities who live in their own homes. Life Skills Coaches assist individuals with the goals they have set for themselves assist them with living their best, most fulfilling and independent life. In this position, a few examples of the type of work you will be doing may include assisting the individual with: learning daily skills and activities, menu planning, grocery shopping, cooking, budgeting, cleaning, using public transportation, making and attending medical and dental appointments, volunteering, and social leisure activities.

    Other duties include, but are not limited to:

    Provide in-home and community based assistance to consumers according to individual service programs set up by Alta California Regional Center and New Start SLS.

    Documenting of daily charting notes.

    Reporting of issues and concerns regarding consumers to New Start Case Manager.

    Attending in-service training sessions and continued education when offered.

    Assisting with special events or projects.

    Some of the individuals we support use electric or manual wheelchairs, receive assistance with adaptive equipment for transfer, and require personal care assistance (ex: toileting, bathing, brushing teeth).

    QUALIFICATIONS

    Must be able to work with and support individuals who have disabilities

    Must have at least 1 year experience.

    Must be able to speak, read, and write English.

    Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent GED.

    Must be able to pass a DOJ Live Scan Fingerprint Background Check.

    Must show evidence of a negative TB test & clear physical within 90 days of hire.

    Pre-Requisite: Must provide proof of current CPR + First Aid certification or be willing to become certified prior to starting employment.

    Some of the individuals we serve may require support staff assist them with transportation. If driving clients, to be eligible to drive clients support staff must be willing to use their own personal vehicle during the course of employment. They must also provide and maintain proof of valid Driver’s License & drivers insurance, and clean DMV driving record.

    Starting Pay Rate: $18.50-20 per hour
