What are we looking for?
We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated individual to join our team for the current position of Life Skills Trainer who works as a team member to provide life skills trainings. This individual will offer professional learning opportunities for adults with moderate intellectual and developmental disabilities that enable them to gain life skills and real-work experience while becoming fully integrated into their community.
The essential duties include but are not limited to:
Provides fun and engaging instructional activities and life skills training in community settings that promote feelings of contentment, enjoyment, confidence, and engagement with the world that enhance mental well-being
Assist to develop weekly group trainings and coordinate activity schedules as a shared member of a team.
Imparts knowledge to participants through hands-on experiences using real-world materials, supplies, and technology.
Support participants to identify individual service planning goals and support each individual to achieve their anticipated outcomes
Transport participants in agency passenger vans to designated locations (may include participant's homes)
Other duties assigned.

Qualifications
Must be available to work 7am-3pm
Must have the ability to walk/stand for long periods of time indoor/outdoor in all environments
Have basic computer skills
Own a Smartphone
Be at least 25 years of age
Have a High School Diploma or Equivalent (AA degree or higher preferred)
Speak, read, and write well in English
Have strong problem-solving skills
Have a minimum of six months of verifiable experience providing training services to individuals with development and intellectual disabilities or have worked in classroom/ learning environment
Have a valid First Aid/CPR Certification or the ability to obtain upon hiring
Be able to pass an employment screening process
Have a valid Driver's License
Must have a Clean Driving Record
Be able to pass TB test and health screening
Must be fully vaccinated against Covid-19 or the ability to obtain upon hiring
