Donor Services Team Leader
LifeSouth Community Blood Centers is currently seeking an individual to join our team as a Donor Services Team Leader in Valdosta, GA. This position is responsible for ensuring the donor center and/or bloodmobile operates safely, efficiently and effectively. The selected candidate will also directly supervise one to six Donor Technicians.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws
Oversee donor collection functions
Ensure all collections operations comply with LifeSouth Standard Operating Procedure (SOP)
Oversee, direct and monitor all activities of staff
Properly complete and account for all paperwork, test tubes and blood associated with Donor Collections
Ensure quality control on all blood collection equipment is performed and records are maintained appropriately
Maintain stock supply in donor room
Display positive customer service skills to both internal and external customers
Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED
CPR Certification
Valid driver’s license. Must also meet and maintain LifeSouth driver’s eligibility requirements
Ability to multitask and prioritize
Strong interpersonal and team building skills
Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
Knowledgeable in a variety of computer software applications
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions, percentages, area, and volume and apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry
The ideal candidate will possess:
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree
One year of donor collections experience
Previous supervisory experience
Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
This is a full-time position. Starting salary range is $13.00 - $14.30 an hour.
