The West Fargo Park District is hiring qualified Lifeguards for our outdoor water park. If you are passionate about water safety and enjoy working in a dynamic environment, this is your opportunity to ensure the safety and comfort of our pool guests while gaining valuable experience.
Position Overview
As a Lifeguard, you will play a crucial role in maintaining a safe and welcoming environment for all pool visitors. This position involves active surveillance, enforcing pool safety rules, responding to emergencies, and keeping the pool area clean and hazard-free.
Key Responsibilities
● Supervise the Veterans Memorial Pool to ensure the safety of all guests.
● Enforce pool rules and safety regulations.
● Maintain professional relationships with guests and associates.
● Monitor the pool area consistently and respond promptly to emergencies.
● Ensure the pool and surrounding areas are clean, safe, and free from hazards.
● Stay knowledgeable about all emergency procedures and act swiftly when needed.
Work Schedule
This position offers flexible shifts during daytime, evening, and weekend hours throughout the pool season.
Qualifications
● Age Requirement: Must be at least 16 years old.
● Certifications (current):
○ Lifeguard certification
○ First Aid and CPR certification
Benefits
● Starting pay of $17 per hour, based on experience.
● Reimbursement of $80 toward certifications upon completing the 2025 pool season.
● $35 reimbursement for swimsuits after completing the 2025 pool season.
Ideal Candidate
We seek motivated individuals committed to water safety and guest satisfaction. Previous experience as a lifeguard or in customer service is preferred but not required.
