SUMMARY
Oversee and assume charge of lift operators and ticket checkers at assigned lift(s). Assist guests in getting safely on and off lifts. Operate lifts safely and efficiently monitoring lift usage and constant awareness of lift operation, including chair lifts, surface lifts and tow lifts. Provide excellent service to guests at lift. Both full and part-time positions available. Must be at least 18 years of age to apply.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Oversee and carry out start up procedures by including paperwork, return check, drive check, line check, obtain permission for power on, electronic lift safety check, obtain and record time of openings.
- Oversees and performs a variety of opening procedures by overseeing general opening procedures, including maze setup and ramp grooming.
- Ensures that riders have valid lift tickets by ensuring that all tickets and passes are checked or scanned and refuses entry to skiers without valid tickets, referring them to the appropriate personnel.
- Notifies Lift Supervisor or Lift Maintenance of problems or unsafe conditions by monitoring the operation of the lift continually.
- Performs closing procedures by unloading all riders from lift, shut down lift, clear out and smooth ramps and maze areas, secure lift house and tools.
- Oversees/ directs the activities of other operators with regard to drive operations by assisting in training new lift attendants and operators and monitoring seasonal operators. Assigns duties to lift attendants.
- Provide superior service to our customers (internal and external) by following Resort Etiquette Guidelines while interacting with guests.
- Respond to all guests and employees in a courteous and efficient manner.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
- Fills out incident reports with lift supervisor on duty at time. Performs other tasks as assigned
- Flexible schedule to include weekends, vacation/holiday weeks, and some weekend evenings.
