    Lighthouse is seeking an Outside Sales Business Development Representative to become an integral part of our team! You would be replacing a current Senior Account Manager who is retiring at the end of this year. The territory is RI, CT, all of MA west of Worcester and Worcester to Boston South of the Mass Pike (Rt. 90). Coverage of VT is also possible and can be discussed.

    Responsibilities:

    You need to prospect for new business at existing accounts, as well as identify and generate buisness at new accounts.

    You need to be proactive in scheduling appointments, generating sales leads and looking for new sales opportunities.

    You would cover and manage existing accounts, as well as be required to find new accounts.

    You need to manage your travel within your sales territory efficiently.

    You do not have to be a degreed engineer, however, knowledge and experience in Electronics and familiarity with New England Electronic OEMs, Distributors and Contract Manufacturers would be an asset.

    The ability to work independently, learn, communicate and do analytical thinking is required. Depending upon your product and technical experience, you can learn about the basics of various technologies and technical terms, in order to interact with Design Engineers. The owner, Larry, can teach you as well.

    Follow up and close on sample requests and quote requests.

    Book appointments for and travel with Sales Managers, when they visit the territory.

    Entertain Manufacturers sales managers at dinner (once or twice a month).

    Trade Shows: Help set up, work the booth and help break down.

    Attend Lighthouse office meetings, as well as Manufacturer meetings that take place at the Lighthouse office.

    Network and build relationships with new and existing customers.

    To be proactive, as well as want to learn about manufacturers products and technologies periodically for the term of your employment.

    Qualifications:

    BA/BS University Degree

    2- 3 years minimum (Inside or Outside) sales experience, preferred in the Electronics Industry.

    To be familiar with Microsoft Office and CRM type software

    To be active on LinkedIn

    Must have own vehicle

    Ability to be on the road 3 days each week
