JOB OVERVIEW The Lighting Coordinator will design lighting for the Worship Center and Chapel venues weekly. They will build a team of volunteers to support lighting needs in the Worship Center and Chapel. They will develop resources around the lighting design to train others on using equipment and lighting design across Preston Trail. They will provide expertise regarding lighting in a live environment. This includes but is not limited to integration, maintenance, and problem solving. They will lead implementation of set/stage designs across Preston Trail. All Production staff must work together, cross-train, and spend time assisting on all manner of projects. A successful candidate is someone who has excellent communication skills, is detailed oriented, and capable of rolling with changing priorities and personalities.
QUALIFICATIONS
5+ years of technical experience, working in an AVL or another relevant field

Ability to pastor and care for volunteers while leading production environments

Able to troubleshoot and support Preston Trail systems in all environments
Must understand private networking for signal and data transport
Must understand theatrical lighting design, infrastructure, interfacing, and concepts utilizing DMX based infrastructure at a high level (ex. Art Net, DMX, KlingNet, Vista, GrandMA)
Must understand media server use, infrastructure, interfacing, and concepts at a high level (ex. Arkaos, Resolume, etc)
Strong working knowledge of setup, install, and management of Windows/MacOS operating systems and the hardware associated
Must understand private networking for signal and data transport
Strong working experience with terminating/installing audio, video, and/or lighting cabling
Some working experience in audio and video equipment in live venue settings
Some working experience in with ProPresenter
Requires the ability to multi-task and work independently to complete assignments
Must have excellent communication / customer service skills and be able to interface with the Preston Trail Staff, guests, and members
Must be understand responsible use of power tools, ladders, and test equipment

WEEKLY DUTIES
Design lighting at a high level for the Worship Center and Chapel
Prepare media server content for LED screens and set designs
Provide lighting design training for Preston Trail teams.
Create documentation on best practices and standards for lighting design
Meet weekly to debrief the weekend services
Attend all assigned on-site and virtual meetings relevant to production
Facilitate production needs for all approved events
Learn and develop skills in all aspects of live production
Setup, operate, and troubleshoot computers, sound, lighting, and video systems
Be on site Sundays to ensure execution of weekend services
