    Designers work one on one with clients, designing lighting and electrical upgrades in their client’s new home. Our ultimate aim is to create a space for our clients that provides the ambiance and function that best fits their lives. Overall, production designers are responsible for their lighting designs (training provided), client relations maintenance, and following the Aterra process for project management.

    Educational Requirements: Bachelor's Degree in Interior Design, Industrial Design, or Architecture preferred. A minimum of two years industry experience may be substituted for the education requirement.

    Experience: Knowledgeable background / experience in design applications, client relations, space planning, human factors in design, and architectural design techniques is preferred but not required..

    Recommended Skills:

    AutoCAD

    Lighting Design, Application, and Layout (preferred, not required)

    Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)

    Areas of Responsibility:

    Client Maintenance

    Project Design

    Following Aterra design process

    Tracking Report Maintenance

    Plan & Fixture Schedule Creation

    Field Visits (as needed)

    Product / Design Educational Update Training

    In-person & Virtual client appointments

    Continuing Education (i.e., lighting design certification through IESNA and other industry related courses)

    Effective communication

    *This position is a Monday through Friday schedule and requires working in Denton, Texas and will report directly to the Design Manager at the corporate headquarters in Scottsdale, AZ
