Job Summary We are seeking a Line Cook to join the team at our busy restaurant. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and a commitment for delivering high quality dishes in a fast paced environment. As a Line Cook you will play a crucial role in food preparation, cooking and maintaining the standards of our kitchen. Your expertise will will contribute to creating memorable dining experiences for our guests.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and presentation standards.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, adhering to food safety and sanitation guidelines.
Assist in menu planning and development, incorporating seasonal ingredients and customer preferences.
Collaborate with the dietary department to accommodate special dietary needs or restrictions.
Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and assist in ordering as needed.
Ensure proper food handling techniques are followed at all times.
Participate in training new kitchen staff on cooking techniques, equipment usage, and safety protocols.
Qualifications:
Previous experience as a Line Cook or in a similar role within the food industry is preferred.
Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in food handling.
Experience in food service management is a plus.
Familiarity with banquet service is beneficial for catering events.
Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team.
A passion for culinary arts and commitment to continuous learning in the kitchen.
