    We are looking for a talented and passionate Cook to join our kitchen team at [Hilton Garden Inn Austin Central. As a Cook, you will play a key role in preparing high-quality meals that exceed guest expectations. You will work closely with the culinary team to ensure timely and efficient food preparation while maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness, safety, and presentation. Responsibilities: Food Preparation & Cooking: • Prepare and cook menu items according to hotel standards and guest preferences. • Ensure the quality, consistency, and presentation of all food dishes. • Follow standardized recipes and portion control guidelines to maintain cost-effective food production. Menu Planning & Specials: • Collaborate with the head chef or kitchen manager to create seasonal or special menu items. • Assist in preparing new dishes based on guest feedback or trends in the culinary industry. Kitchen Organization & Cleanliness: • Maintain a clean, organized kitchen workspace by following health and safety regulations. • Ensure all kitchen equipment is well-maintained and report any issues to management. • Assist with inventory management and stock rotation. Guest Satisfaction: • Ensure that food is prepared and presented in an attractive, appetizing manner. • Address any guest dietary requests or food allergies with care and attention to detail. Team Collaboration: • Work efficiently as part of a team to support smooth kitchen operations. • Communicate effectively with kitchen staff, servers, and management. Health and Safety: • Comply with all food safety regulations, including proper food handling, storage, and sanitation practices. Qualifications: Experience: • Prior experience as a cook or in a related culinary position in a hotel or restaurant is preferred. • Familiarity with hotel or fine dining kitchen operations is a plus. Skills: • Strong cooking and culinary skills, with an eye for detail in food presentation. • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle high-volume service. • Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Education: • A culinary degree or relevant certifications are a plus but not required. Physical Requirements: • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift heavy kitchen equipment or ingredients. • Must be able to work under pressure and sometimes crowded kitchen environment. Compensation: $14 - $16 hourly
