    Job Title: Line Cook Noodle

    Compensation: $23.00 - $24.89 per hour The base salary or hourly wage range for this role will vary based on multiple factors, including but not limited to prior experience, relevant expertise, current business needs, and market factors.     Din Tai Fung is a Chinese restaurant specializing in Xiao Long Bao, or steamed soup dumplings, each made by hand with our “Golden Ratio” of 18 folds. Originally founded in Taiwan as a cooking oil retail business in 1958, Din Tai Fung was reborn as a dumpling and noodle restaurant in 1972.     About the Role: Line Cooks (Noodle) are responsible for preparing, cooking and plating all of the noodle line items.

    Job Responsibilities & Tasks:

    Learns all Noodle recipes, cook times, and cooking techniques per Din Tai Fung’s procedures

    Checks the ingredient quality prior to beginning cooking

    Cooks the ingredients in accordance with Din Tai Fung’s recipes

    Plates the final product in accordance with Din Tai Fung’s plating guidelines

    Prepares and cuts garnishes for Noodle line items

    Labels all items in accordance with Health Department regulations and Din Tai Fung procedures

    Attends monthly staff meetings and Noodle meetings

    Supporting Functions:

    Keeps all kitchen areas clean and sanitized

    Organizes items within the walk-in coolers and freezers

    Lifts/moves boxes, bags, chairs, and tables (up to 50 pounds)

    Assists with regular deep cleaning of the kitchen

    Maintains confidentiality regarding all propriety information, including but not limited to recipes and Standard Operating Procedures (“SOP’s“).
