    We’re seeking motivated, hard working team members to prepare ingredients and cook our unique, appetizing dishes!

    As a Line Cook/Prep Cook, you will play a crucial role in our kitchen operations. You will be responsible for assisting in the preparation and cooking of various dishes, ensuring that they are cooked to perfection. Your attention to detail, knowledge of food safety practices, and ability to work efficiently will contribute to the success of our culinary team.     Mandarin Chinese proficiency and prior food service experience are preferred. A NYC Food Protection Certificate is required.

    Responsibilities

    • Prepare ingredients for cooking, including chopping vegetables, cutting meat, and gathering spices

    • Assist in the cooking process by following recipes and instructions from the head chef

    • Cook food items according to established standards and guidelines

    • Ensure food is cooked to the appropriate temperature and is presented in an appealing manner

    • Maintain a clean and organized work area, including proper storage of ingredients and equipment

    • Follow all food safety and sanitation procedures to prevent contamination

    Experience:

    • Previous experience in a food service or culinary role is preferred

    • Knowledge of basic food preparation techniques and cooking methods

    • Familiarity with food safety regulations and guidelines

    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously

    • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurate

    Skills:

    • Proficient in using kitchen tools, such as knives and other culinary equipment

    • Knowledge of different cooking techniques and methods

    • Understanding of proper food handling procedures

    • Ability to work well as part of a team and take direction from superiors

    • Excellent time management skills to ensure timely completion of tasks
