    Job Summary

    Sea Salt is seeking a dedicated and passionate Line Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a love for cooking and creating high-quality dishes in a fast-paced environment. As a Line Cook, you will play a vital role in ensuring timely food preparation and maintaining kitchen cleanliness while following food safety protocols.

    Key Responsibilities

    Food Preparation ~ Prepare ingredients and assist with cooking for various menu items, ensuring consistency, quality, and presentation.
    Station Management ~ Manage assigned cooking station(s), including grill, sauté, fry, or prep stations, to maintain efficiency and high-quality output during service.
    Quality Control ~ Monitor food quality and presentation standards, adjusting as necessary to meet restaurant specifications.
    Cleanliness and Sanitation ~ Ensure the kitchen area is kept clean, organized, and compliant with health and safety regulations.
    Inventory Management ~ Assist with inventory control, food storage, and waste management processes. Report any supply needs to the kitchen manager.
    Collaboration ~ Work closely with the kitchen team to coordinate food preparation and timing, ensuring timely service to diners.
    Follow Recipes ~ Accurately follow recipes and portion guidelines to maintain flavor and cost consistency.
    Adaptability ~ Be flexible and adapt to changes in the menu or kitchen operations as needed.

    Qualifications

    Experience ~ Previous experience in a fast-paced kitchen environment is preferred (1-2 years); experience in a specific cuisine is a plus.
    Culinary Skills ~ Strong culinary skills with a good understanding of various cooking techniques and kitchen equipment.
    Communication ~ Good communication skills to work effectively with team members and management.
    Teamwork ~ Ability to function well as part of a team and maintain a positive, collaborative attitude.
    Time Management ~ Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a busy environment.

    Physical Requirements

    - Ability to stand for long periods and lift heavy items (up to 50 lbs).
    - Manual dexterity for using kitchen tools and equipment.
    - Ability to work in a hot, fast-paced environment.
