The Inn and Spa at Cedar Falls is seeking a full-time to part-time cook to join our team. We are looking for someone to help with organization and prepping for daily service. It is essential to us to ensure a smooth operation in our open kitchen, where guests can admire your culinary skills as they pass by. Please be able to work a flexible schedule. Holidays and weekends are a must. Your responsibilities will include prepping for and working throughout dinner service. Helping with putting away the truck order. Keeping coolers and freezers organized and clean. Keeping a clean and sanitary work area. Making all items as directed in the recipe. While prior experience is beneficial, we are willing to provide training to the right candidate. Responsibilities: • Ensure food is presented in an attractive manner • Maintain a clean working environment and follow all sanitation standards • Stock and organize food trucks, put away incoming stock, and rotate accordingly • Clean up the kitchen after the shift and take care of leftover food • Take out the trash • Put away and store food properly, date, rotate, etc. • Communicate with the manager Qualifications: • Organized and efficient at prepping necessary recipe items • Ability to work alone or with a team • Follow a recipe • Lifting, pushing, and pulling up to 50 lbs • Have basic food handling and food safety skills • Willingness to be trained and learn new things • A passion for food • Able to walk up and down stairs Compensation: $16 hourly
