Responsibilities: • Set up and stock workstations. • Prepare and cook food for service in cooperation with co-workers. • Cook to the exact specification of the Executive Chef. • Keep abreast of orders, inventory, availability, and events. • Prepare for and assist with events. • Ensure consistent portion sizes and quality of meals. • Ensure food comes out in a timely manner. • Comply with health, sanitation, and safety regulations, policies, and procedures. • Attend staff meetings and other functions as required. • Complete all paperwork involved in day-to-day operations. • Report all equipment problems, bar maintenance issues, violations, or substandard practices to your supervisor immediately upon encountering a problem. Qualifications: • High school diploma or GED required. • 1 year or more experience working in a commercial kitchen. • Ability to work a flexible schedule: early mornings, days, nights, Holidays, and weekends. • Understanding and proficiency in most general culinary techniques. • General understanding of commercial kitchen equipment. • Good knife skills. • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. • Knowledge of proper food handling and food safety/sanitation standards. • Ability to remain calm under extreme pressure and undertake various tasks. • Excellent time management. • Strong communication and interpersonal skills. • Ability to follow instructions and complete assigned tasks with accuracy, speed, and in a timely manner. • Ability to work both independently as well as in a team environment. Compensation: $16 - $18 hourly
