    Title: Line Cook

    Reports to: Kitchen Manager

    Summary of Position: The Line Cook is responsible for putting out a consistent quality

    product, in a timely manner, that is produced in accordance with the recipes and

    appearances set forth by Tortilla Flats standards and practices.

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Practice and embody core values.

    • Ensure the satisfaction of all patrons by preparing a delicious and visual appealing

    meal in a timely fashion.

    • Conduct yourselves in all matters of the kitchen with maturity and positivity.

    • Ensure that all food products are consistently prepared according to the

    restaurant’s measurement and serving standards.

    • Responsible for receiving food products in correct unit count and condition under

    the discretion of the Kitchen Manager. Deliveries to be received in accordance

    with the restaurant’s receiving policies and procedures.

    • Fill in when needed to ensure efficient kitchen operation.

    • Ensure that all equipment and fixtures are kept clean and in excellent working

    condition by following daily cleaning schedules. • Assist Kitchen Manager in providing orientation and training of new kitchen

    personnel.

    Qualifications:

    • Positive attitude

    • Work well in fast paced setting

    • Possess strong organizational and decision-making skills

    • Available to work evenings and weekends.

    • Communicate clearly and effectively.

    • Be able to reach, bend, stoop, go up and down stairs and lift up to 50 pounds.

    • Be able to endure long periods of standing and walking.

    • Must have exceptional hygiene and grooming habits.

    • Able to take direction from Kitchen Manager

    Knowledge:

    • A minimum of 2 years of experience as a line cook.

    • ServSafe or other recognized hygiene qualification required.

    Working Conditions:

    • Long periods of time standing/walking

    • Flexible and changing working hours

    • Daytime, evening and weekend schedules
