    We are a real estate litigation firm that primarily represents investors and lenders. We help business people and entrepreneurs solve real estate problems. In doing so, we employ a team-oriented, business-oriented, and collaborative approach to problem-solving. We are a firm seeking to scale the practice and expand into multiple states. We’re looking for an organized and detail-oriented Paralegal to play an important role on our legal team. Responsibilities: • Prepare legal documents, correspondence, proofs of service, pleading and motion templates, interrogatories, subpoenas, deposition notices, pretrial orders, legal briefs, and declarations, under the supervision of a lawyer • Help lawyers prepare for trial by preparing and organizing exhibits, assisting with client meetings, court filings, recording documents with county recorders, conducting research, and organizing and coordinating witnesses • Conduct interviews with clients to gather information about their legal issues • Perform administrative duties such as answering phone calls and keeping our document management system organized so all documents are readily accessible • Scheduling and calendaring • Client communication • Assemble documents • Creating new matters in time and billing software, in document management software, as well as the firm’s CRM software • Follow – and eventually draft – office procedures • Grow in the position through continued learning and revitalization of skillsets in related duties Qualifications: • 3 years of paralegal experience (litigation, real estate, and bankruptcy experience a plus) • Excellent organizational and time-management skills • Strong verbal and written communication skills • Deadline-driven and extremely organized • Process-oriented • Reliable • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills; can work well with people possessing a variety of personalities • Display excellent written, problem-solving, and verbal communication skills • Technologically savvy; knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word and Excel) programs and filing systems with the ability to learn new programs quickly and troubleshoot common issues Compensation: $25 - $50 hourly
