Responsibilities: As a Litigation Paralegal, you will be responsible for supporting our attorneys in the following areas: • Collections Case Management: Manage and assist in all aspects of collections-related litigation, including organizing documents, maintaining case files, and tracking deadlines specific to collections cases • Legal Research: Conduct in-depth legal research on collections laws, procedures, and case law, using various databases and online resources to support case preparation • Document Preparation: Draft and format legal documents, pleadings, discovery requests, and correspondence related to collections matters • Discovery: Assist in the discovery process for collections cases by collecting, reviewing, and summarizing documents, depositions, and interrogatories • Client Interaction: Communicate professionally and effectively with clients, witnesses, courts, opposing counsel, and collection agencies • Court Filings: Ensure the timely and accurate filing of legal documents with courts and agencies in compliance with all relevant local, state, and federal rules for collections • Trial Support: Provide critical support during trials involving collections, including preparing exhibits, assisting with trial preparation, and ensuring courtroom logistics run smoothly Qualifications: • Extensive experience in collections litigation, with a solid understanding of the collections process from start to finish • 2-3 years of civil litigation experience, particularly in commercial/business litigation with a strong focus on collections • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a strong work ethic • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and legal research tools • Paralegal certification from an ABA-approved program is a plus • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment • Excellent written and verbal communication skills Compensation • Salary: $60,000+ yearly, based on experience • Comprehensive benefits package Compensation: $60,000
