It’s important to not take things personally and understand clients are going through one of the toughest times in their lives. Our job is to help them stay focused on where they want to go and guide them on how to get there. • You must be a team player. You will be working with other members of our staff and both you and our other staff members are accountable to each other. We strive to schedule our internally imposed deadlines with plenty of time before the final "real" deadline. But, as you may have experienced, we will always have a handful of clients who bring us discovery documents the night before court. • The people who thrive here are those who roll up their sleeves and help their team get the work done. Specific duties: • Calendaring deadlines and tasks and making sure deadlines are met and tasks are completed on time. • Drafting pleadings, including Petitions, Motions, DRFAs, Child Support Worksheets, etc. • Performing legal research. • Preparing the client And the file for mediation, hearings, and trials. • Preparing trial notebooks. • Drafting Final Orders. • Preparing and Responding to Discovery. • Electronic filing using Odyssey, PeachCourt, etc. • Scheduling Zoom, WebEx, and other virtual meetings and hearings. Qualifications: • Georgia Family Law Experience is a Must. • Ability to think independently is a Must. • Passion for helping people with grace and compassion is a Must. The perfect addition to our team will come in with a wealth of experience, and step right into the roles necessary to get clients through their cases. This is a full-time job, and our employees must show up in-office during regular hours to ensure that clients have access to someone on the team.
