    We are looking for an ambitious litigation paralegal to assist our chief litigator in his cases. Since 2005, our firm has been dedicated to representing children and families in both child custody and injury cases throughout Tennessee. David Grimmett is the only board-certified child welfare attorney in Williamson County and teaches both attorneys and judges throughout the state. This paralegal position will be the key to our continued growth and will allow the successful candidate an opportunity for both personal and professional growth. The ideal candidate will have experience in both personal injury and child custody litigation. S/he must have extensive experience in drafting pleadings, discovery, and other legal documents. The ideal candidate will meet our four core values which include: (1) deliberate actions; (2) aggressive at litigation; (3) vivacious love for the law; and (4) empathy for clients. Responsibilities: • Draft initial pleadings including Complaints, Petitions, Answers, Discovery • Answer & propound discovery from opposing counsel in a timely fashion • Draft pleadings necessary to push litigation and shorten time on the desk • Assist chief litigator in preparation for depositions, hearings, medical proof, and trials • Maintain organized case files and documentation • Communicate with clients, witnesses, and court personnel to facilitate case progress Qualifications: • 2+ years of experience in both personal injury and child custody litigation • Exceptional writing ability including the ability to not only draft documents from templates but also draft documents based on facts presented • Legal Research ability with Lexis • Knowledge of Tennessee Courts • Knowledge of Tennessee Rules of Civil Procedure • Organizational Skills Compensation: $50,000

    $50,000 per year
