Responsibilities: • Manage reasonable caseload of probate and civil litigation matters to help clients protect what they've built. • Perform legal research and work with attorneys to develop winning legal arguments. • Complete legal forms and draft documents, including pleadings, discovery and responses, motions, status reports, settlement agreements, and other case filings to keep cases moving forward. • Manage discovery and litigation calendar, track deadlines, and ensure attorneys are prepared for court appearances through trial. • Help attorneys prepare for hearings and in the courtroom. • Interact with clients, court clerks, probate examiners, opposing parties, and opposing counsel. Qualifications: • Must meet Business & Professions Code 6450-6456 definition of Paralegal. • 2+ years recent hands-on experience with cases filed in California courts; probate court experience a major plus. • Working knowledge of the California Rules of Court and Code of Civil Procedure a must. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office/365 required. • Familiarity with Clio Grow and Clio Manage highly preferred. • Outstanding attention to detail, superior communication skills, and practical organizational skills are important for this position.
