Job Type: Full-time Experience: • Paralegal: 5 years (Required) • Personal injury: 5 years (Required) Education: Associate (Required)Job) Location: Boca Raton, FL (Required) Responsibilities: • Order, review, organize, and summarize medical records, prepare chronologies and timelines, analyze case merit and identify the standard of care, causation, and damage issues • Research, identify, interview, and communicate with expert witnesses • Conduct medical and legal research • Draft letters and e-mails • Draft pre-suit documents including Notice of Intent, Expert Affidavits, Informal Discovery, Responses to Informal Discovery • Draft litigation documents including pleadings, discovery, discovery responses, subpoenas, deposition notices, orders, exhibit lists, expert and witness lists, etc., under the supervision of a lawyer • Assist lawyers with preparation for depositions, mediation, and trial • Handle all aspects of litigation files from filing suit through trial Qualifications: • Florida Registered Paralegal (FRP) • Must have completed an ABA-approved paralegal certification program such as an associate’s degree or proprietary school program in paralegal studies, bachelor’s degree desired • Certification from the National Federation of Paralegal Associations (NFPA) or National Association of Legal Assistants (NALA) • Strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills • Excellent organizational skills, and time-management skills • Proficient with computers, software, and programs including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.), Adobe, Dropbox, etc. • Experience with Filevine preferred. Will train • Bilingual (Spanish) preferred Compensation: $68,000 - $77,000 yearly
