    A highly respected Midwest law firm has engaged SuiteSpot Executive Search, LLC to assist in its search for a Litigation Paralegal. This is a non-exempt position located in Indianapolis, IN.

    The Position:The Estate, Trust, Guardianship and Fiduciary Practice Group wishes to add a Litigation Paralegal to its thriving practice. The Litigation Paralegal will provide essential support to attorneys specializing in the litigation of contested matters related to the administration and litigation of estates, trusts, and guardianships.

    The Essentials:

    • Manage complex litigation cases, assisting attorneys with case preparation from inception through trial;

    • Manage case files, ensuring all documents are organized, current and updated in case management databases;

    • Draft pleadings, motions, subpoenas, and discovery documents as directed by attorneys;

    • Prepare and file petitions for probate, administration, and guardianship;

    • Conduct legal research and gather, organize and evaluate evidence relevant to cases;

    • Coordinate and manage the discovery process, including interrogatories, depositions, and document production;

    • Summarize depositions, discovery responses, and other key documents;

    • Communicate frequently with clients to gather necessary information and documentation, provide updates, and assist clients with the completion of forms and questionnaires;

    • Assist with trial preparation, organize and manage trial exhibits, documents, evidence, and create trial binders;

    • Maintain attorney calendars, coordinating meetings, court appearances and depositions and monitoring deadlines for filings, etc.;

    • Remain current with changes in probate, estate and trust laws and best practices;

    • Demonstrate the highest level of commitment to the Firm, the Client, and the community.


    The Candidate:The ideal candidate will possess a paralegal certificate, at least two years of experience, and a thorough understanding of probate and trust law as well as litigation procedures. However, the Firm is open to training a newly certified paralegal or a less experienced candidate.

    The successful candidate will be highly organized, exercise exceptional attention to detail, and demonstrate sensitivity to clients’ emotional and personal needs. He/she will additionally possess:

    • Excellent client-service attitude and strong work ethic.

    • Energy, motivation, and organizational skills, enabling them to effectively guide, lead, and remind the supervising attorney;

    • Demonstration of intellectual curiosity with a willingness to learn quickly and adapt efficiently;

    • Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills;

    • Strong sense of ethical judgment, integrity and responsibility in handling clients’ sensitive and confidential information;

    • Ability to build strong, trusting relationships with clients and professional partners;

    • Strong legal research, critical thinking and problem-solving skills;

    • Ability to meet internal and external deadlines, and to work effectively independently or in a team environment with all personnel levels within the Firm;

    • Commitment and ability to support senior attorneys to best serve client needs and drive business development;

    • Professionalism, discretion and a stellar reputation within the legal community.
