We are seeking a skilled Litigation Paralegal to join our legal team. In this role, you will work closely with attorneys to manage litigation and pre-litigation matters for our company and associated entities. The ideal candidate will support all phases of the litigation process, including legal research, discovery responses, and claims investigation. Familiarity with local, regional, and federal dockets, as well as experience handling all aspects of discovery production is required.
Responsibilities:
Process service of legal documents, set up case files, and coordinate with risk management to notify carriers of claims.
Conduct pre-claim investigations, legal research, and initial case assessments.
Manage case calendars, track deadlines, and organize litigation files.
Maintain pleadings and discovery indexes, ensuring timely responses to requests.
Assist attorneys and outside counsel with interrogatories and other discovery requests.
Gather and analyze relevant information from various sources.
Serve as a liaison between internal teams, litigation counsel, and third parties.
Support case settlements and facilitate payment processing.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Litigation Paralegal with expertise in motions, discovery, evidence, and court procedures.
Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Strong writing, research, and communication skills with keen attention to detail.
Proficiency in legal databases and litigation technology.
A team player with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Paralegal associate degree or relevant certification preferred.
