Responsibilities: What You’ll Do: • Prepare and draft legal documents, including pleadings, discovery requests and responses, and motions, ensuring accuracy and compliance. • Organize and manage case files, tracking deadlines for discovery, motions, and hearings. • Conduct detailed and factual legal research to support case development, including investigating case details and compiling supporting documentation. • Coordinate with attorneys to prepare for depositions, mediations, hearings, and trials by organizing exhibits, summarizing deposition transcripts, and preparing trial binders. • File legal documents in state and federal courts using electronic filing systems (e-filing) and ensure adherence to jurisdictional filing procedures. • Collaborate with expert witnesses, including scheduling meetings, assisting with reports, and ensuring the timely exchange of information. • Monitor case progress and assist in strategy meetings to ensure efficient and effective litigation processes. • Assist with settlement negotiations by gathering and summarizing key case details, resolving liens, and preparing settlement agreements. • Serve as a liaison between clients, attorneys, opposing counsel, and courts, maintaining professional and timely communication. Qualifications: What We’re Looking For: • 3-5 years of experience as a litigation paralegal in a personal injury law firm. • Degree and/or Paralegal Certificate required; advanced certifications are a plus. • Spanish-speaking preferred, with strong verbal and written communication skills. • Experience with case management systems and e-filing in state and federal courts. • Exceptional organizational, multitasking, and time-management skills. • Strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently or in a team environment. • A proactive approach to solving problems and anticipating case needs. Bonus Skills (Not Required, But a Plus!): We utilize various digital platforms to provide top-tier service to clients.
