We're looking for an organized, detail-oriented, and experienced paralegal to join our busy and growing probate litigation team. You'll draft legal documents, manage calendars, and have lots of client contact. If you're interested in advancing your paralegal career, we want to hear from you. Responsibilities: • Preparing probate petitions and related documents • Filing court documents • Assisting attorneys with all aspects of the case • Ensuring court deadlines are calendared • Implementing systems and procedures to ensure that cases progress smoothly • Perform administrative duties such as answering phone calls and keeping our case filing system organized so all documents are readily accessible • Assist lawyers in preparing legal documentation, pleadings, and correspondence including correspondence such as interrogatories, subpoenas, deposition notices, complaints, pretrial orders, legal briefs, and affidavits • Work with lawyers to prepare for trial by conducting research on legal articles, preparing and organizing exhibits, organizing and coordinating witnesses, filing motions, and assisting with client meetings • Hold client interviews to gather information about their legal problems • Coordinate law office activity, including drafting subpoenas and coordinating with process servers Qualifications: • At least 5 years of paralegal experience in the probate field • Candidates should possess high-level organizational skills and time-management skills • At least 3 years of experience in legal services under an attorney or lawyer in a law firm setting • Must have strong interpersonal skills and talent for writing and grammar • ABA-approved paralegal certificate program such as an Associate’s degree or proprietary school program in paralegal studies, Bachelor’s degree desired • Completion of a nationally-accredited paralegal program strongly preferred Compensation: $100,000 yearly
