Human Resources Assistant - Oswego NY - Admin office (not within the daycare)
What We Need
We are seeking a detail-oriented HR Assistant to join our HR team. This role partners closely with Human Resources to ensure proper payroll deductions for benefits elections. This position supports an evolving organization and reports to the HR Director in our Oswego NY office.
What You Will Do
Ensure compliance with company policies, as well as federal / state payroll laws and regulations
Work with managers to ensure employee payroll hours are submitted accurately and approved on a timely basis every pay period
Monitor, retain and secure proper HR documentation
Coordinating meeting meals
HR Administrative Duties
Onboarding employees
Enrolling and terminating employees benefits
Assist in providing supporting documentation for annual audits
Communicate effectively in a manner that promotes trust and cooperation
Other duties as assigned and requested
What You Will Need To Have
Minimum of two years’ experience in HR or payroll
Working knowledge of HR and payroll taxes at federal, state and local levels
Experience using HR and payroll platforms
High degree of accuracy and detail orientation required
Proficient in MS Office with strong Excel skills
Strong work ethic and team player
Ability to deal sensitively with confidential material and information
Strong interpersonal (verbal and written) communication skills
Organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills
