Job Description

The Customer Service Representative is responsible for booking and soliciting business from customers and brokers and strategically planning the trucks that land in specified zone.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities, include but are not limited to:
• Maintaining and developing business opportunities with the company’s current customer base
• Servicing customers’ freight and shipment needs on a daily basis
• Strategically planning customers’ freight to ensure on time service while also balancing our drivers’ needs
• Providing opportunity to our brokerage division TA Services to service additional freight that our own asset trucks are unable to service
• Cultivating new business opportunities with prospective customers and freight brokers
• Updating and maintaining various customer TMS portals

A Successful Customer Service Representative:
Must consistently demonstrate the company’s Mission and Values. Must have good oral and written communication skills in order to effectively interact with customers, drivers and other team members in person and on the telephone. They must be customer service-oriented as well as team-oriented and must have good organizational skills. A successful Customer Service Representative must be able to effectively manage multiple tasks simultaneously, and carry a growth mindset. Finally, they must be able to work a flexible schedule when needed to which may include weekends, evenings, and holidays.

Qualifications

• Working with Driver Managers to load every truck in the planning zone and making drivers successful
• Communicating through the order planning process to ensure thorough and accurate information is given to the driver
• Gaining knowledge of the planning zone to accurately price loads
• Teaming with Sales Department to create and maintain customer base within your planning zone
• Working with all departments to ensure a great experience from tendering of the load to completion of accurate billing
