  • Responsibilities

    Job Description

    The Loader Operator will be responsible for safe and efficient operation primarily using a front-end loader and the occasional operation of other heavy equipment to transport earthen material, process equipment, and components. Additional responsibilities include performing physical and manual labor-related tasks such as maintenance, cleaning and manually material sorting.

    Primary Responsibilities:

    • Inspect equipment carefully before every shift. Check all fluids for proper levels before operating.
    • Keep loader clean inside and out.
    • Perform any necessary routine maintenance on loader such as lubricating and fueling.
    • Grease loader every shift according to the environment.
    • Blow out air filters between servicing- usually once per shift.
    • Reporting parts or supplies needed to do the repairs.
    • Responsible for ensuring all piles are labeled correctly.
    • Follow all Safety Operating Guidelines (SOGs)
    • Perform related work and additional duties as requested/assigned by supervisor
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    Minimum Qualifications:

    • 2+ years of experience preferably in and around soils screening, soil moving, and soil processing operations
    • Experience in using a Loader Operator required
    • Mechanical ability a plus
    • Good work ethic, self-motivated
    • Knowledge and experience operating front end wheel loaders; excavators; screening, crushing, and material conveying systems; street sweepers; skid steers; and other similar equipment.
    • Knowledge of equipment inspection, preventative maintenance, and cleaning standards.
    • Ability to work independently in a safe and efficient manner and to follow safety policies and procedures.
    • Solid communication, problem-solving and leadership skills
    • Creative thinker with ability to consider “out of the box” solutions

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Ability to deal politely and professionally with coworkers and company visitors.
    • Ability to follow directions or instructions.
    • Ability to use a computer to access training portals.
