We’re hiring a driven mortgage Loan Officer Assistant to free up our Loan Officer to originate more loans into the pipeline. This position will be from the “contact to contract” phase of the loan. Your job will be to work closely with borrowers to expedite their mortgage process and ensure everything runs smoothly. Responsibilities: • Create and nurture relationships with both referral partners and borrowers to draw in new business and retain our existing clients • Coordinate loan application completions, collect all necessary documents (including credit reports), run DU/LP/AUS, send a closing cost worksheet to borrowers, and get the file ready for processing • Check each document in the loan package for omissions, discrepancies, and inaccurate income calculations and promptly notify the loan originator of any errors • Respond to all in-house and customer inquiries regarding transactions and provide quotes when needed to offer exceptional customer service • Communicate consistently with the loan officer, referral partners, and clients so they have a clear primary contact throughout the “contact to contract” phase of the loan process, and arrange meetings to ensure any follow-up actions get taken Qualifications: • Exceptional follow-up, time management, interpersonal, and communication skills • Detail-Oriented and Organized : Strong organizational skills with an ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently and accurately. Must be proficient in document preparation, file management, and meeting deadlines under pressure. • Customer Service & Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with clients, loan officers, and other team members. A customer-centric approach is key to providing a seamless loan process. • Proficiency in General Computer Skills and Technology: Strong general computer knowledge, including experience with email, spreadsheets, and word processing software (e.g., Microsoft Office or Google Workspace). Ability to quickly learn and adapt to industry-specific software and tools. Compensation: $21 hourly
