Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Loan Officer to join our team. In this role, you will originate mortgage loans from self-sourced referrals.

Your responsibilities will include interviewing applicants to gather financial information, evaluating creditworthiness, and completing loan contracts.

The ideal candidate has excellent communication and customer service skills and a deep understanding of current lending practices and regulations.

Responsibilities

Source mortgage loans from self-generated referral sources

Interview applicants to gather financial information

Evaluate creditworthiness

Assist clients in understanding the terms and conditions of their contracts

Maintain up-to-date knowledge of current financial services and types of loans

Keep detailed records for all accounts

Attend networking events

Meet with realtors, financial planners, CPA's, or other referral sources

Qualifications

Previous experience as a Loan Officer is preferred

Familiarity with Microsoft Excel, databases, and loan processing and banking software

Knowledge of lending products and practices

Strong customer service and communication skills

Ability to perform in a goal-oriented environment
