    The Loan Operations Specialist I will be responsible for the processing of all types of loans, credit card applications, credit tracking, report processing and some accounts payable. The loan operations department supports the lending teams of Herring Bank. Loan operations performs both pre-closing and post-closing duties for all commercial, consumer, agricultural and real estate loans. Implicit in the job function is being a collaborative team player, a strong relationship with management, customer service and communications skills.

    Essential Duties

    · Board all new and renewed commercial, consumer and agricultural loans.

    · Process all loan payments including participation payments/collection payments/fees/process wire transfers.

    · Process credit card applications. Perform credit card maintenance.

    · Balance loan control general ledger daily.

    · Process loan disbursements.

    · Maintain monthly production and assistant logs.

    · Scan documents to imaging system.

    · Review various daily, weekly, monthly & annual reports and make required adjustments.

    · Maintain exceptions/maintenance (credit tracking) for all loans (titles, recorded docs, filed UCC’s, etc.).

    · Responsible for E-Oscar & Experian reporting and updates.

    · Create and distribute loan operations department reports.

    · Prepare and process paid off loans.

    · Prepare and process adverse actions.

    · Pay invoices for Central Notification System Inc., payment coupons, flood determination and Texas, Colorado & Oklahoma SOS.

    · Implement all regulatory requirements that apply to bank employees i.e., Bank Secrecy, Identity Theft, OFAC, Reg P (Privacy Act), Safe Guarding Customer Information. Responsible for implementing procedures related to loan operations. (i.e. Reg Z, Reg X, Reg C, Reg B, FLOOD, etc.). In addition, be familiar with regulations to commercial and consumer loans.

    · Must be organized, self-motivated and team player.

    · Punctuality and good attendance are imperative.

    · Cross-sell the Bank's other products and services, referring customers to appropriate staff as indicated.

    · Foster teamwork in the branch to ensure a positive overall customer experience and positive work environment.

    · Answer telephones, answers questions and direct callers to proper bank personnel.

    · Participate in bank training to enhance skill set and meet compliance requirements.

    Minimum Requirements · A High School Diploma or Equivalent.

    · Courtesy, tact, and diplomacy are essential elements of the job. Work involves personal contact with others inside and/or outside the organization, generally regarding routine matters for purpose of giving or obtaining information which may require some discussion.

    · Be able to solve problems, multi-task, and detailed.
