Position Summary
The Loan Processor will receive and process loan applications. Serves as liaison between Loan Department, Third Parties, and customers.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
Prepare and Review loan documentation prior to closing for completeness and acceptance by the applicant.
Request Appraisals.
Complete customer account maintenance.
Upload new loans to the core system and post Credit Card payments.
Request flood determinations and lien searches on home improvement/equity loans.
Ensure timely completion of loan documents; file documents to perfect lien on all loans.
Generate and review for accuracy annual escrow statements for mailing to customers.
Monitor escrow accounts to insure timely remittance of payment to applicable agencies.
Update core loan system and prepare batch entries for disbursement of payment to various agencies.
Monitor insurance tracking requirements to ensure timely receipt of insurance notifications.
Responsible for professional written and verbal communications and correspondence on behalf of the bank.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)
High school diploma or equivalency.
Minimum 1-year operations and/or lending experience, preferably in a banking environment.
Must possess excellent verbal communication skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, including, but not limited to: Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and work with limited supervision, exercising own initiative and judgment.
