Locally owned and operated renowned mortgage lending company is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Loan Processor to support its mortgage operations team. The ideal candidate will manage a pipeline of mortgage applications, ensure compliance with investor and company guidelines, and provide exceptional customer service throughout the loan process. This role requires strong organizational skills, accuracy, and the ability to work effectively in a high-volume, deadline-driven environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
- Manage an active pipeline of mortgage loans from application through closing.
- Prepare and submit complete, accurate loan packages to underwriting in accordance with investor and company guidelines.
- Ensure timely collection and submission of all required documentation, conditions, and stipulations.
- Maintain proactive communication with clients, loan officers, and internal teams to ensure all commitments and closing dates are met.
- Respond promptly to inquiries from borrowers, agents, and internal stakeholders.
- Maintain meticulous records, call logs, pipeline status reports, and other required documentation.
- Monitor workflow to ensure alignment with company policies and operational standards.
- Attend weekly pipeline meetings, training sessions, and other team functions as required.
- Collaborate closely with loan officers and management to address follow-up needs and maintain process efficiency.
- Adhere to ethical standards and comply with all RESPA regulations and company policies regarding loan documentation and disclosures.
- Ensure that loan processors do not offer or negotiate loan terms with clients, in accordance with regulatory requirements.
REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- Previous experience in mortgage loan processing or equivalent financial services experience required.
- Advanced education in financial services may substitute for direct mortgage processing experience.
- Demonstrated ability to manage a high-volume pipeline while maintaining attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
- High level of integrity, professionalism, and adherence to compliance and ethical standards.
- Proficiency in mortgage processing software and document management systems is a plus.
