JOB SUMMARY: This position is responsible for partnering with loan officers, operations, and underwriting in providing daily guidance on loan scenarios to ensure files are qualified and structured appropriately. Full-time, nonexempt, Mon-Fri, reports to Director of Credit Policy, in office or remote.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
a. Basic GSE guideline questions
b. Asset questions
c. Occupancy questions
d. Conforming loan and government loan scenario questions
e. Income calculation questions
i. Wage earner
ii. Self-employed
iii. Variable income
· Triage and escalate difficult/advanced questions to Director of Credit Policy
· Train on and increase knowledge of loan programs so as to provide additional scenario coverage on desk for the following loan programs:
a. DSCR
b. Bank statement programs
c. Asset depletion
d. Jumbo loans
e. New products that are rolled out
· Assist Director of Credit Policy with tasks that arise surrounding the scenario desk including (but not limited to):
a. Help develop a searchable FAQ of the most asked questions through scenarios
b. Ensure Samanage tickets are properly managed and closed out
· Prepare package uploads for non-delegated loans
· Assist with any post-closing stipulations that are escalated
REQUIREMENTS
· At least 5 years of government and conventional underwriting experience
· Knowledge of investor overlays
· Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) and Adobe Acrobat, navigating the internet, and generally tech savvy
· Knowledge of Byte preferred
· Demonstrated ability for extreme attention to detail and critical thinking
· Demonstrated track record of effective, proactive, and precise verbal and written communication
· Detail oriented, organized, and able to prioritize, multi-task, manage time, problem solve, and work independently in a fast-paced environment
· Professional, friendly, courteous, positive, collaborative, and client-centric spirit that embraces diversity and inclusion
