    So, what will the Psychometrician at Terrestris do?

    Big picture, the mission of the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) is to fulfill President Lincoln's promise “to care for him who shall have borne the battle, and for his widow, and his orphan” by serving and honoring the men and women who are America's Veterans. Under the VA, the Veterans Benefits Administration (VBA) supports this mission by providing a variety of benefits and services—including disability compensation services, insurance programs that provide financial security, and employment, business start-up, or independent living services and assistance—to Servicemembers, Veterans, and their families. Additional benefits and services to Veterans, specifically Veterans exposed to environmental hazards while fighting for our country, were expanded with the passage of “The Sergeant First Class Heath Robinson Honoring our Promise to Address Comprehensive Toxics Act of 2022”, commonly known as the PACT Act. The PACT Act provides the VBA with mechanisms to enhance the claims processing of and increase the workforce to support Veterans covered under this Act.

    Specifically, you will design, develop, and deliver at a minimum three (3) diagnostic assessments, each to include a test specification plan, in accordance VBAs Competency-based Training Program.

    What does a typical day look like for the Psychometrician?

    You will:

    • Design, develop, and deliver diagnostic assessments to include a test specification plan, in accordance VBAs Competency-based Training Program
    • Conduct a maximum of 4 item writing workshops to validate and collect the data required to develop the diagnostic assessment during the period of performance
    • Participate as a member of the Integrated Product Team (IPT) monthly meeting for consistency studies and coordinate with Government SME, and Government Program Manager, supporting both the quality and training staffs
    • Prepare study pre-test questions, post-tests questions, and training content received from the SME, into a web-based training products each study to be delivered during the period of performance
    • Participate in reliability/validity analysis of test questions, courseware review meetings
    • Make content changes based on courseware reviews
    • Provide a compliance report two days after each administration of the study
    • Provide a Quick Snapshot Excel report 2 days after administration
    • Upload all results to the Government Server
    • Provide a final administrative report of the study

    What qualifications do you look for?

    You might be the leader we're looking for if you:

    • A master's degree in Psychometrics or a field of study related to the assigned projects
    • A minimum of five (5) years of relevant
    • Have relevant experience in projects of national scope, including VA initiatives and in the Federal Government arena
    • Must have Veterans Administration initiative experience (required)
