    Overview:

    The Location Pastor will play a pivotal role in the implementation of the launch plan of The District Church’s Northern Virginia location. This involves spearheading the mobilization of our existing Life Groups and partnering with leaders to extend our reach into the Northern Virginia community. The Location Pastor will lead community outreach efforts, develop and mobilize volunteers, and foster meaningful relationships within the community, all while advancing the mission of The District Church under the leadership and guidance of the Executive Pastor. Once the location is launched, this role will continue to provide pastoral care, leadership and community development of the location.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Community Outreach:

    Identify and address community needs through innovative ministry initiatives.

    Develop and implement outreach strategies to engage and serve the Northern Virginia communities.

    Represent the church in community activities and build relationships with local neighborhoods, leaders and organizations.

    Encourage and inspire the congregation to live out their faith through service and community involvement.

    Volunteer Mobilization:

    Recruit, train, and mobilize volunteers for various church ministries and outreach programs.

    Create opportunities for church members to serve both within the church and in the community.

    Provide ongoing pastoral care, support, training, and encouragement to volunteers.

    Life Groups:

    Provide support and pastoral care for Life Group leaders and coaches in collaboration with the Life Group Director.

    Assist with the development and growth of Life Groups under the direction of the Life Groups director.

    Promote Life Groups as a key avenue for discipleship, fellowship, and spiritual growth.

    Administrative Duties:

    Activate and implement the launch plan for the location.

    Collaborate with other ministries to ensure the smooth operation of outreach and Life Group programs.

    Assist in the development and management of budgets related to the launch of the location and beyond.

    Qualifications:

    A deep, personal relationship with Jesus Christ and a calling to outreach and discipleship ministry in a major metropolitan area.

    Strong passion for community engagement and volunteer mobilization.

    Proven experience in developing and leading outreach initiatives and/or small group programs.

    Communication and leadership skills.

    Planning Center Online Management skills

    Ability to work collaboratively with church staff, volunteers, and community members.

    Strong organizational and administrative abilities.

    Multicultural competence and experience working with diverse communities.
